Improve Your Putting With Sure Putting System

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

This is a posting on a new putting system I stumbled onto. It works for me. It’s called the Sure Putting System. I’ll be posting a video on it soon.

LAS VEGAS — So, a friend Chuck tells me about his new putting system. I told him to send it and I’ll take a look.

When I open the box, there’s a number of nifty things in there. The strangest thing was a device you clip to the bill of your cap. This device is a laser. (There’s a lot more than this laser.)

When you turn the laser on, a red dot appears on the ground. When you’re practicing your putting, that red dot tells you whether your head is staying still over the ball.

I thought this will be a cinch. After all,my golfing friends tell me my strength is my superb concentration my head barely moves during a swing.

After ten seconds of watching that red dot look like a mouse fleeing a cat, I thought differently of my head control over a putt. Damn, this is difficult.

I had my wife Teri try it. She started laughing and had the same problem controlling the laser.

I worked with it a few times in the house. I wanted to think about a product I might help sell or endorse. Stuff like that goes through my websites partner Vicki first. I would fill her in on my initial thoughts.

Then I forgot I had scheduled a video shoot at Red Rock Arroyo. My producer — Michael Geeser of Poppy Productions — was ready with camera in hand. We interviewed Andy Perez the head Pro at Red Rock and then we hit the course to play 18 holes and get some shots to cover the interview with Andy.

Something odd happened as I got over the first putt on the first hole. I had an uphill 20-footer for birdie. What was strange was that I felt incredibly comfortable over the ball. Remember, I didn’t get any warm-up on the tee or on the putting green. I stroked a perfect putt that sat about a ball length to the left of the hole for a tap in par.

Next hole I dumped my approach into the bunker. My sand shot left me with another 20-footer, but this one was downhill and tricky. I stroked it perfectly and with about three revolutions to spar the ball dropped for another par.

Hole three was a 190 yard part 5. I hit a 6 iron to the left of the hole, pin high, but another 20 feet away. This was a downhill, slightly right to left putt that was heading toward the Las Vegas Strip where all putts move.

Needless to say, I stroked — and read — this putt perfectly too. About three feet from the cup, the ball made a gentle move to the left and dropped.

Suddenly, it hit me. I was feeling the putts better than I had in some time. And the reaosn had to be my time with the Sure Putting System.

Now if you don’t believe me, don’t worry. I have those putts on tape. You will be seeing them on this site very soon.

If you’re interested just go to Sure Putting and take a look.  Needless to say, I’m on board.

We spent some time with Andy Perez, the head pro at Red Rock Country Club, in Las Vegas.  We give you a quick tour of the public venue Red Rock Arroyo.  You can see it here on my blog at LasVegasGolf.com.  The shooting, editing, and a few shots were performed by Michael Geeser of Poppy Productions here in Las Vegas.
